Los Angeles Outage – Bravo, Delta Servers Impacted

Virtual Hosting Company has experienced an issue impacting the ‘Bravo’ and ‘Delta’ servers out of Los Angeles, California.  We are working closely with the Data Center to get the issue resolved and anticipate full resolution by 10:30 PM Eastern.  For impact clients, please know wew are working quickly with the technicians on site to get this issue resolved.

Brief Website Service Interruption

Virtual Hosting Company‘s internal monitors have registered a Website Service interruption for approximately 15 minutes this morning, impacting multiple servers providing Website hosting solutions for Virtual Hosting Company.  Upon investigation, and coordination with the Data Center, it was confirmed that additional storms in the Phoenix area impacted service again today, repeating an issue that occured last week.  After initial alerts within the Data Center, as well as ongoing close communication with Virtual Hosting Company staff, the facility was able to quickly bring the impacted services back online. Website Solution Outage

Virtual Hosting Company‘s Website Hosting Solutions and Billing Portal were impacted today by a combined Power and Cooling System failure that occurred in the PhoenixNAP Data Center.  These failures today were a result of multiple storms and power system failures in the Phoenix, AZ, area, which resulted in combined brownouts within the data center as well as significantly increased temperatures in multiple rooms, impacting connectivity and multiple servers being rebooted. New Offering – Inbound Mail Filtering

Virtual Hosting Company is expanding our offerings for New and Existing Clients, now adding in Inbound Mail Filtering through a system we’ve been testing internally for just over a year.  The new system, based off of Proxmox Mail Gateway, provides enhanced mail filtering and protection by incorporating constantly updated rulesets, virus protection, and RBL monitoring on a grand scale.  The updated system allows new and existing clients to improve overall protection for their inbound mail. IRC Provisioning System 5.0 – Upcoming Release

IPv6 Returning Soon – Alpha and Charlie Servers

Virtual Hosting Company is happy to announce that we’ve received confirmation our IPv5 addresses for Alpha and Charlie have been allocated.  We’re working with the Data Center to fully provision and spin up the IPv6 connectivity and Vhosts.  This is a major update from the relocation of Alpha on October 23rd, and the relocation of Charlie on October 11th.  These changes will restore the IPv6 connectivity that was available before on each server. Virtual Hosting Company, after receiving feedback from our Metro New York Data Center, has taken preemptive actions to relocate the Alpha Server used for some of our IRC Solutions.  A recent notification by our Data Center has advised that there will be a physical relocation of hardware from the Metro New York Data Center to Buffalo, New York.  This physical relocation would encompass between 12 and 24 hours of expected downtime.
