Virtual Hosting Company is happy to announce that we’ve received confirmation our IPv5 addresses for Alpha and Charlie have been allocated. We’re working with the Data Center to fully provision and spin up the IPv6 connectivity and Vhosts. This is a major update from the relocation of Alpha on October 23rd, and the relocation of Charlie on October 11th. These changes will restore the IPv6 connectivity that was available before on each server. The improvement will bring native IPv6 connectivity to both Alpha and Charlie, giving both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity options for our clients. These changes will be occurring…
Virtual Hosting Company, after receiving feedback from our Metro New York Data Center, has taken preemptive actions to relocate the Alpha Server used for some of our IRC Solutions. A recent notification by our Data Center has advised that there will be a physical relocation of hardware from the Metro New York Data Center to Buffalo, New York. This physical relocation would encompass between 12 and 24 hours of expected downtime. Virtual Hosting Company is scheduling the ZNC Software Upgrade for the Bravo server. During this time, the ZNC Bouncer Software package used by our IRC Bouncer Solutions clients on the Bravo Server will be updated to the latest revision. During this time, customers on the IRC Bouncer Solutions under Bravo will have their connections temporarily interrupted. This upgrade is scheduled for Friday, August 8th, at 10 PM Eastern.
