About
Virtual Hosting Company is a small Internet-based business housed in McDonough, GA. Founded in 2000, Virtual Hosting Company has slowly grown into the business you see today. We have clients throughout the world with services ranging from IRC-based hosting to Website-based hosting.
Company History
Virtual Hosting Company was founded on October 1st, 2000, by John S Maloney Jr. The primary reason for the company coming into existence was to provide a viable and reliable service to various customers throughout the world. Starting off small, with a single server, Virtual Hosting Company has built onto an ever-changing market.
The original server details were fairly simple. It was a single system running a Pentium 1, 75mhz processor. It featured 40mb of 72pin SIMM ram and housed three hard disk drives. The drives, 814mb, 1gb, and 514mb, held the first of Virtual Hosting Company’s client data. The system itself was operating on a 512kbps downstream, 128kbps upstream, and ran Slackware 8 on Kernel 2.2.16. Since, we’ve upgraded to the systems outlined below.
